However, racial disparities exist in mammogram screening. We aimed to evaluate the presentation of women with newly diagnosed breast cancer in the underserved African-American and Hispanic community to provide insight regarding breast cancer screening in this population.
This retrospective cohort study included women newly diagnosed with breast cancer from 1/1/2016 to 1/1/2018 in an inner city public community hospital. Data was collected via chart review. Patients were divided based on whether they presented with self-detected breast mass. Logistic regression was used for analysis.
59 women were newly diagnosed with breast cancer. 34 women (58%) were African-American, 20 (34%) were Hispanic, and 5 (8%) were other race. Of 59 women, 36 (61%) presented with self-detected breast mass, and only 21 (36%) reported prior mammography. For women who presented with breast mass, the odds of having prior mammography were 7th early breast cancer detection in minority women with limited access to care, and such disparities should be considered by organizations when creating screening guidelines.The following study aimed to summarize the overall safety and efficacy of the pCONus device in the treatment of wide-necked bifurcation aneurysms.
Major electronic medical databases were thoroughly searched to identify relevant studies. Data regarding the type of included studies, type of aneurysm and its location, treatment results measured in Raymond-Roy Occlusion Class (RROC) and its complications, as well as patients' neurological outcome at the discharge were extracted from the eligible studies and included in the meta-analysis. The subgroup analyses dependent on the aneurysm rupture status were also conducted.
A total of 8 studies (198 patients with 200 aneurysms) were included in this meta-analysis. The most common localization of the treated aneurysms was the middle cerebral artery with its pooled prevalence estimate (PPE) of 44.5%. Immediately after the procedure, RROC I (complete obliteration of the aneurysm) was observed in 46.8%, RROC II in 32.9%, while RROC III (residual aneurysm) in 20.3% of the patients. In a short-term follow-up, PPE of RROC I was 55.0%, RROC II 29.0%, and RROC III 16.1%. The PPE of intraprocedural complications was 17.3%, the most frequent were thromboembolic events, which were observed in 12.1% of all procedures. Poor neurological outcome at the discharge was noted with PPE of 9.6%.

Comparative analysis of cytological abnormalities in the 3 different groups.
A total of 1,026,671 satisfactory cytology tests were performed. The proportion of cytological abnormalities was found to decrease with age (P&lt;.001) and was similar in the groups comprised of adolescents and young adults, with 3.405/ 20.921 (16.3%) and 13,635/ 78,277 (17.4%), respectively, and 74,320/ 927,473 (8.0%) in the group of adult patients (P&lt;.001). Among the positive cytologies in the group of adolescents, 3,331/ 3,405 (97.8%) represented low-grade lesions and 74/ 3,405 (2.2%) high-grade lesions, whereas among adults older than 25years old, these figures were 69,092/ 74.320 (93%) and 5,228/ 74.320 (6.9%), respectively. No cases of cancer were found in the group of adolescents.
Cytological screening of young people is not recommended because of the low prevalence of high-grade cytological abnormalities in this population, with cancer being a rare event. This inadvertent screening could lead to unnecessary complementary exams and overtreatment, which could compromise the reproductive future of these young women.

The present study was designed to investigate the neuroprotective effects of melatonin for aluminium chloride (AlCl3)-induced neurotoxicity in rats. Twelve-week old male Wistar rats were orally received 175 mg/kg AlCl3 with or without 5 mg/kg melatonin intraperitoneal pretreatment. Group 3 intraperitoneally recieved 5 mg/kg melatonin and group 4 rats were orally treated with saline solution for 8 weeks. A series of behavioral tests, biochemical analysis and expression of AD-associated proteins in the brain were determined after 7 weeks of all treatments. Our results indicated that AlCl3 treatment tends to induce memory and cognitive impairment. However, melatonin treatment attenuated amyloid beta (Aβ) (1-42) level by decreasing β-secretase, augmented low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 1, and neprilysin protein expression. Moreover, AlCl3 -induced endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress and oxidative stress was attenuated by melatonin supplementation.
